Yes the same Frederick Forsyth who wrote Pillars of the Earth and World Without End.
He also wrote some mystery classics like Day of the Jackal and Whiteout.
This is a terrorist based suspense novel. Forsythe appears to have done a lot of research for this book including interviews with people who have been on t he ground. The result is an even more terrifying and suspenseful story.
The story is intriguing. What can Al Qaeda do which will overshadow the World Trade Center destruction? Forsythe has thought of a terrifying alternative. He builds the story from the discovery of something big through the building of a strategy for searching for what it is and then the building of a strategy for finding out what it is and then how to thwart it.
A great listen (the CD equivalent of a great read for paper).
Look for it and enjoy it.
